I can hear several cardinals in the bushes and shrubbery around the house but it’s very hard to see any right now. It is molting season, so they seem to be extra shy and stay hidden away. Maybe they are more vulnerable to predators. This male cardinal is either beginning his molt or finishing it up with a new set of feathers.
